Top 7 Home Furnishings for 2021 • Hotel Designs

Forget the to-do list, investing in furniture rather than a flight looks a lot more appealing right now as we all settle into staycation mode! These furniture designs are the highlights of a year full of creative content, and between them they tick a whole range of boxes; starting with the eco-responsible Leo range from Adrenalina, and moving down the list to finish with the cutting edge 3D printed furniture concept, we’ve got it all!
Adrenaline: LEO

Italian furniture company Adrenalina has collaborated with Russian designer Daria Zinovatnaya on this range of eco-friendly furniture affectionately nicknamed “The Green Warrior”. Every aspect of the process has been taken into account, from 100% recycled fabric to the end of the furniture’s lifecycle. The range maintains comfort and a contemporary aesthetic alongside its ecological references.

The Sideways Sofa, which is part of the WFHotel facility at HIX this year, is simply stunning. From the curve of the seat to the materials used and the intricate design details of its structure, it is a sculptural piece of furniture that is as much a design statement as it is a place of comfort and refuge with strong coffee and a good book.
Crosswater: Artist

With the conversation about wellness growing stronger, the bathroom has become an integral part of the design process rather than a practical addition. With that in mind, we felt it appropriate to include Crosswater’s Artist range in our furniture list for 2021, as it elegantly crosses those boundaries.
Fredericia: the Spanish chair

Despite the name, this is a Danish design that has all the lines and details of a modern classic. Beautifully constructed with simple, strong lines and attention and a combination of materials make this chair both practical and decorative.
Minotti: Superquadra

The strong architectural lines of this range by Brazilian designer Marcio Kogan for Minotti are what sets these pieces apart. The graphic minimalism of the design contrasts with an exciting combination of materials that create a strong design statement.
Morgan: Lugano

The Lugano collection has been described by designer Rock Galpin as “like a human hug” with its well-proportioned enveloping contours. Beautifully designed and beautifully crafted, you can read more about this chair’s collaborative journey in our interview with Morgan and Galpin earlier this year.

It seems appropriate to end this list by looking firmly to the future, although with this range it most certainly looks like the future is now! Made from plastic waste, this design harnesses material technology right through to production and opens the conversation about the future of furniture production.
