“Cancel Russia!” said Hotel Pattee symbolically on Friday when the Russian national flag was removed from the line of flags that line the downtown monument.
Tom Burkgren of Perry Economic Development Inc., which currently owns the Pattee Hotel, ordered the lowering of the Russian flag as a sign of local solidarity with the nation of Ukraine, which is currently under attack by Russian military aggression.
