Adorn Bar + Restaurant Chicago Announces New Senior Mixologist Slava Borisov
Adorn Bar & Restaurant, Chicago’s premier restaurant with award-winning chef James Beard Jonathon Sawyer and located at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, today announces the appointment of Slava Borisov, winner of Diageo’s Top 50 US Bartender 2021, as Mixologist main.

Senior mixologist Borisov is from Omsk, Siberia, who, after seeing an advertisement for the Russian Bartenders Association in Moscow, transitioned from the Russian military to a career as a bartender. Between classes, Borisov worked as a bartender in an upscale restaurant and stumbled across Tom Cruise’s film “Cocktail”. He realized that his story mirrored Cruise’s path to some extent – this revelation, along with his hands-on experience in the food and beverage industry, fueled his passion to become a bartender. Borisov also obtained his Masters in Human Resource Management from Omsk State Technical University in 2010. While still living in Siberia, Borisov won several bartending competitions, a trajectory that inspired him to pursue his new passion and become a leading professional in the industry.
In 2011, Borisov moved to the United States to work in Brooklyn, New York’s famous drink scene, and after a few years moved to Chicago, a city that introduced him to the world of luxury hospitality. Borisov joined The Langham, Chicago as a member of the opening team in 2013 where he has led the bar program for the past several years. Prior to joining Adorn at the Four Seasons Chicago in September 2021, Borisov was named one of America’s Top 50 Bartenders in the World Class competition sponsored by Diageo Bartender of the Year.
In a true spirit of hospitality, Borisov prepared an introductory cocktail: the “Russ-tretto”. Russian: Mimicking the aesthetic of a miniature stout glass, this little cocktail can be pulled or sipped.
